Is Volscan affiliated with Volvo?
No. Volscan is an independent project and is not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by Volvo Car Corporation. It is built to interoperate with Volvo vehicles. "Volvo" is a trademark of Volvo Car Corporation.
Which cars are supported?
The P1, P2 and P3 platforms — models like C30, S40, V50, C70, S60, V60, V70, XC60, XC70 and S80. Coverage depends on your exact car and ECUs.
Which adapters do I need?
A MongoosePro USB cable on Mac, or a vLinker MC+ / ELM327 adapter over Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. The diagnostic catalog is stored on the device, so Volscan works fully offline.
Is it safe for my car?
Volscan is read-only by default. Write actions (if any) require explicit confirmation and only run on modules whose protocol is known from the data.
Does it run on iPhone?
Yes, with a wireless adapter (vLinker MC+ over Bluetooth LE, or a Wi-Fi OBD adapter). USB cables such as MongoosePro are Mac-only.
